v2.6, Costco Mode
New Costco Mode builds all-side-load loads to match Costco's electric pallet jacks: pallets are grouped into same-side runs of 2, 3, or 4 rows (selectable) so a jack can pull multiple rows deep in one pass. It is side-load plus brick plus run-grouping, using the same proven side-load patterns and physics, just with the offset held across each run. Run length is a forklift choice and does not affect axle weight. Odd counts put a single at the nose; all existing rules hold: no back-to-back singles, pairs at bulkhead and doors, KICK STOPS on the rear corners. Grouping carries through the diagram, print sheet, save, and share.
v2.5, Realistic Mixed-Orientation Loads
Mixed-orientation patterns now mirror real dock practice: front-load pairs are the default, and side-load singles are added only as the weight requires, interleaved through the load to spread axle weight. Never bands all-FL-then-all-SL, never places two single rows back-to-back, and always keeps a pair at the bulkhead and the doors. Heavier loads automatically reach for more side-load singles, lighter loads use alternating pairs.
v2.4, Mixed Loads Persist + Cleanup
Mixed-SKU placement now survives saving and sharing: recalled configs restore the weight groups and regenerate the full placement, and shared driver load sheets show the exact SKU and weight for every row. Removed the dock-mode CSS rule that silently hid inline-bordered elements.
v2.3, Mixed-Load Polish
Heavier SKUs now place toward the bulkhead whenever that placement passes (falls back to the most forward-biased passing strategy when it doesn’t). Loading-order text reads naturally ("Chips — 900 lb each") and the placement box sits full-width below the diagram.
v2.2, Mixed-SKU Loads
New Mixed Load mode: enter pallets as weight groups by SKU/PO, and the engine assigns them to positions across four placement strategies (heavy nose, heavy rear, centered, interleaved), ranking every combination by axle compliance and load security. Result cards and printed load sheets show the exact SKU loading order, bulkhead to doors. Dock Mode fixes: open floor shown in the pattern preview, broken header button repaired (raw markup string), and a clear Exit Dock Mode button added.
v2.1, Double-Stack at Nose + KICK STOPS Markers
Double-stacked positions now rank against the bulkhead whenever the nose placement passes (blocks/splits only surface when it doesn’t). KICK STOPS markers repositioned to the true rear corners of the last row’s pallets, correct for brick offset, pinwheel pairs, and FL widths.
v2.0, Security-First Ranking + Open Floor
Among passing patterns, load security now outranks axle headroom: all-pairs patterns rank above patterns with centered singles. Diagrams and load sheets show the true open floor at the rear to scale. Fixed: double-stack generation froze at 45+ pallets (infinite loop), 48' capacity raised to 28 pallets / 14 rows per true interior.
v1.9, Trailer Geometry Corrections
Kingpin position corrected to published spec (36" behind nose → ~32" behind bulkhead on dry vans, ~24" on reefers), shifting ~1,500 lb of predicted weight from drives to trailer on full loads. Tandem slide range fixed to the full physical rail (±4 ft), previously capped at ±1.2 ft by a tolerance bug. Routine full loads now pass with realistic tandem positions.
v1.8, Physics Audit + True Interiors
Full independent audit of the physics engine: axle statics verified against first-principles solver, weight conservation and bridge formula confirmed. Trailer interior lengths corrected to true usable floor (53' DV 630", 53' reefer 622", 48' 570").
v1.7, True-to-Scale Diagrams
All trailer diagrams (results, builder, print) now render at the same scale on both axes. Front-load pallets draw taller than wide (40"W × 48"D) and side-load wider than tall (48"W × 40"D), exactly as they sit in the trailer.
v1.6, Pinwheel Stagger + FL Proportions
Brick/Stagger with Pinwheel now shifts each 4-pallet group wall-to-wall as a unit, final group against the right wall. Front-load pallets render at true width (40" of the 98.5" interior), so FL rows are now visibly narrower and deeper than SL rows.
v1.5, Pinwheel 4-1 Grouped
New Pinwheel 4-1 pattern: groups of four pinwheeled pallets (two nested pairs) separated by centered SL singles, stretching the load rearward to balance axle weights on heavy loads.
v1.4, Pinwheel: Pairs Only
Pinwheel now generates only the true pattern: nested FL+SL pairs every row, flush all the way down. Variants that interleaved centered singles (2-1, 1-2, nose/tail-heavy) were not real pinwheels and have been removed.
v1.3, True Pinwheel
Pinwheel pairs are now one FL + one SL pallet nested in the same row, interlocking with the real 8" stagger. New two-cursor layout engine tracks each wall side independently for accurate axle weights, load length, and diagrams.
v1.2, True Mixed Patterns
Mixed orientation now always combines front-load and side-load pallets in the same pattern. Pure FL/SL results removed from Mixed, new Mixed 2-1 (FL pairs + SL singles) and Mixed 1-2 variants added.
